(There's a drop down menu if you move your cursor over "Capital Ring - March 2011")
Hi there everybody.... I started this delightful tour of the Capital Ring on Monday 14th March 2011, at precisely 10.51 in the morning. Here we are at the Highgate Signposts. Quite often this is seen as a starting point for a round trip. I shall be doing this in an um..anti-clockwise direction..That means I'll be heading for Richmond Bridge - well, not on the 1st day, but eventually.
Just a quick note about meself. I am 53 years old, single (haven't found the right girl yet - I'm disappointingly straight - an' all that crap), and am currently unemployed. My last job - that I walked out of for a variety of reasons - was working for a Dog's Charity. Let's just say they seemed to spend a lot more time considering the needs of their canine friends than they did their human ones... and leave it at that.
I'm doing this thing:
To give me something to do - obviously.
To teach myself how to create and build a Web site - at the moment this is driving me nuts.
Finally as a release for all the frustrations you feel when you are an unemployed 50+ person, with no real prospects and a very lonely dotage to look forward to..
Hope I've wetted your appetite. I've taken some interesting photties of the route, so if you don't fancy the self-loathing prose, you can always look at the pretty pictures.
If you put the mouse cursor over the Capital Ring - March 2011, you'll see my day to day recollections. And if you want some geographical reference to the area I'm walking in, check out this cute little symbol Ω
Finally. There are a number of other sites recording walks around the Capital Ring. They are a little - how shall I say - umm..more conventional than mine.I personally would recommend this one. It has some excellent maps and pictures.
Still interested? Well, don't say I didn't warn you.
OH YEA. JUST IN CASE..I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT THIS SITE REPRESENT MY OWN PERSONAL VIEWS.
THEY DO NOT REFLECT REALITY IN ANY LEGAL SHAPE OR FORM.
